SAVORANA, Alberto
Alberto Savorana was born in Forlì, Italy, in 1959. He earned a degree in History and Philosophy at the University of Bologna. He and his wife have three children. He has worked as a professional journalist since 1987, including work for RAI-USA in New York.
From 1994 to 2008 he was the editor of Tracce (Traces), the international monthly magazine of Communion and Liberation.
In 1993 he began working on the BUR-Rizzoli series “Books of the Christian Spirit,” first in collaboration with Fr. Luigi Giussani, and then with Fr. Julián Carrón. He has also worked on the publication of the books of the founder of CL.
In 1997 he began collaborating on the “Spirto gentil” music series, directed by Fr. Giussani and then by Fr. Carrón.
Since 2005 he has collaborated on publishing the texts of Fr. Carrón, President of the Fraternity of Communion and Liberation.
Currently he is the director of the CL Public Relations and Press Office, and is responsible for the editorial activities of the Movement.
In 2013 he published Vita di don Giussani with Rizzoli. Spanish, Portuguese and English translations have also been produced.
