O'DONNELL, Ann
Ann O’Donnell is a native Californian. She has been a member of the Father Kolbe Missionaries of the Immaculata since 1982. The Missionaries are a Secular Institute of lay consecrated women founded by a Conventual Franciscan, Fr. Luigi Faccenda, in Bologna, Italy, now present in seven countries.
Ann has worked in Italy, the United States, and for nine years was in the shadow of Auschwitz in Poland where her institute built a center of prayer, reconciliation and hospitality for visitors to the concentration camps and the country, Poland. She was privileged to befriend ex-prisoner and artist, Marion Kolodziej and his wife Halina. For six years she was a guide to his exhibit at the St. Maximilian Center in Harmeze, Poland.
