MONZANI, Maria Elena

Maria Elena MonzaniDr. Maria Elena Monzani is a Staff Scientist at the Kavli Institute for Astroparticle Physics and Cosmology at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. She received her PhD from University of Milano and University of Paris 7, working on Solar Neutrinos. Her research field is astroparticle physics, which focuses on the intersection between particle physics and astrophysics/cosmology. As a manager of the LUX-Zeplin collaboration, she is building an innovative Dark Matter detector, which will be deployed in the former Homestake mine in South Dakota. She also leads the Science Operations Team for the Fermi Gamma-Ray Space Telescope.
