LATHROP, Mary
Mary Lathrop is a Catholic convert, actor and painter. She studied theology at Fordham University and received her BA in 1973, and her MA in Medieval Studies at the Institute of Medieval and Renaissance Studies at City College in New York City in 1977. Fluent in French, she attended the Institut Catholique de Paris in a non degree biblical studies program. Mary has been a member of the Catholic Worker movement for over fifty years, traveling the continent opening houses of hospitality. She was a close friend of Dorothy Day. She lives on the Lower East Side of New York City.
