As Chaldean American, Mr. Kassab is a long time advocate for human and religious rights of Iraqi Christians. His mission began when he fled the threats of Saddam’s Regime in Iraq 28 years ago. After reuniting with his two brothers in Italy in 1979, he began assisting Iraqi Christians refugees in Europe, then he moved to the U.S..
Throughout the last 28 years, Mr. Kassab led several Chaldean American Humanitarian Delegations visiting Iraqi Christian Refugees in transit countries throughout Europe and Middle East. Also, he consulted to officials of Department of State, U.S Congress, United Nations, and to many faith-based NGOs
He traveled across Iraq immediately after the liberation of the country in 2003. In the past few years, Mr. Kassab has continued to meet with many Iraqi and American policy makers, advocating for the rights of Iraqi Christians and their role in a new, democratic Iraq.
As the Executive Director of the Chaldean Federation of America, Mr.Kassab has coordinated a massive Iraqi Christian Refugees resettlement initiative, to resettle more than 400,000 displaced Christians inside and outside Iraq.
Mr. Kassab holds Master of Science degree in Medical Microbiology and Immunology. He is now Chief Science Officer of a Nano-Biotech Company
