JAJCZYK, Dan
Dan Jajczyk has spent most of his career in high school football after serving 20 years in the United States Air Force (1977-1997). “Football is what I like to do; it is what I’m meant to do,” Dan said in an interview for The Denver Post. Dan’s resume includes assistant coaching tenures with local Denver high schools including Eaglecrest, Chaparral, and Overland. In 2014, he received his first Head Coach job at Adams City High School. As soon as he accepted the job, The Denver Post requested to follow and document his first steps as a Head Coach and his team’s development during the 2014 season. This documentary was titled “Everything Matters” which was the slogan adopted by the team throughout the season as a reminder to the players that everything they did, on the field and off the field, matters in life. Dan’s work generated an unexpected transformation in both the team and individual players’ lives. For his work as Head Coach, Dan was presented with the Denver Broncos Coach of the Week award for his team’s performance during the first week of the season.
