Rod Dreher is a writer, journalist, and author of the recently published How Dante Can Save Your Life, a memoir about how his unexpected encounter with the Divine Comedy led him out of a dark wood of despair and illness, and helped him rediscover the straight path. Dreher's previous books include The Little Way of Ruthie Leming and Crunchy Cons. He is a senior editor at The American Conservative, and is now working on a book about the future of the church in post-Christian America. He lives in south Louisiana.
