CHULLIKATT, Francis A.

Archbishop Francis A. ChullikattHis Excellency, the Most Reverend Francis A. Chullikatt was born in Bolghatty, India, on March 20, 1953, was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Verapoly on June 3, 1978 and completed a doctorate in Canon Law and entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See in 1988.

Archbishop Chullikatt has served at the Apostolic Nunciatures in Honduras, various countries of southern Africa, and the Philippines, at the Mission to the United Nations in New York and at the Secretariat of State in the Vatican. He was appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Iraq and Jordan on April 29, 2006 and was ordained Titular Archbishop of Ostra on 25 June 25, 2006.

He was appointed Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations in New York on July 17, 2010.
