ATKINSON, Joseph

Dr. Joseph AtkinsonDr. Joseph Atkinson is the creator and founder of The Biblical Vision of Family Series. He currently serves as Associate Professor of Sacred Scripture at the John Paul II Institute in Washington, D.C.

Recognized as a leading expert in the topic of the family as the Domestic Church, Dr. Atkinson has been developing this material for more than 15 years, and has spoken in various parts of the world (including the US, India, Ireland, and Australia). He has also been heard worldwide on his original EWTN series, The Domestic Church. The author of numerous articles, Dr. Atkinson’s forthcoming book, The Biblical and Theological Foundations of the Family, is being published by CUA Press.

He is a Senior Fellow of the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology, and serves on the Advisory Board of Catholic Scripture Study International.

Dr. Atkinson has been married for more than 30 years. He and his wife Nancy have six grown children.
