Rediscovering Our "I" in Politics
Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 7:00PM
A discussion
With Doug ROBINSON, 2018 Candidate for Governor of Colorado
Presented by Crossroads Cultural Center
Starting from the chapter, "In Politics, the Other is a Good," in Fr. Julián Carrón’s book, Disarming Beauty, we want to consider the proposal made that political deadlock has resulted from the perception that the political adversary is an enemy that is to be reduced, which ultimately leads to the detriment of a local or national population. Ultimately, this warping of politics can lead us to be disinterested in our current reality. However, Carrón proposes that accepting that the other, even a political adversary, is a good, leads to a very different result - a true victory for each of us!
Join us for a conversation with Doug Robinson, currently running for governor in the state of Colorado in 2018. We want to explore this proposal through a conversation with Doug, who based on his motivation and action to run for governor, sees politics as a place of optimism, good, and to seek a better Colorado.
The event is free and open to the public.
