After graduating from law school, Professor Albiol served as a staff attorney at Prairie State Legal Services, where she handled housing, social security, public benefits, and consumer law matters in state court and at federal administrative proceedings. As a Public Interest Law Initiative Grant Recipient, Professor Albiol interned at the Midwest Immigrant Rights Center (formerly Travelers & Immigrants Aid) in both 1992 and 1993. From 1996-2001, Professor Albiol served as staff attorney, managing attorney, and associate director of the Midwest Immigrant and Human Rights Center where she represented immigrants and refugees in administrative proceedings and federal litigation, trained immigrant advocates, directed the detention project and citizenship project, and developed community outreach initiatives. Teaches following classes at DePaul: Immigration Law & Policy; Legal Clinic: Asylum/Immigration.
Ms. Shoenberger received her J.D. from DePaul University in 1977, her MBA from Loyola University in 2004, her MA from University of Virginia in 1973 and her BA from the University of Wisconsin in 1971. Mrs. Shoenberger is a Supervisory Attorney with the Chicago Legal Clinic.
