LEWIS, V. Bradley

V. Bradley LewisProfessor V. Bradley Lewis serves as an associate professor in the School of Philosophy at The Catholic University of America, where he has taught for nearly two decades. He also serves as an associate editor for The American Journal of Jurisprudence. Dr. Lewis specializes in political philosophy, Plato, legal philosophy, and natural law theory. He has also taught in the areas of ethics, ancient philosophy, and philosophy of the social sciences. Before teaching at The Catholic University of America, Dr. Lewis also taught at the University of Notre Dame and Valparaiso University. Dr. Lewis earned a Ph.D. in Government and International Studies from the University of Notre Dame, a M.A. in Government and International Studies from the University of Notre Dame, and a B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland. During the course of his career, Dr. Lewis has published numerous scholarly articles. Many of the publications were written on the topics of legal authority in Natural Law, the Common Good, Ancient Greek philosophy, and the rule of law. Dr. Lewis maintains membership in a variety of professional organizations, including the American Catholic Philosophical Association, the American Society for Political and Legal Philosophy, the American Political Science Association, the Society for Ancients Greek Philosophy, the Society for Greek Political Thought, and the International Plato Society.
